About the RoleThis role will cover two charities, with 0.6FTE at the CareTech Foundation and 0.4FTE at COSARAF Foundation. We are seeking an organised and motivated Grants & Finance Officer to provide grants management, financial administration, and operational support to both the CareTech Foundation and the COSARAF Charitable Foundation.This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the work of two impactful foundations, one corporate and one family, each delivering life-changing projects in the UK and internationally. The role combines the administration of grants programmes with responsibility for day-to-day financial processes, ensuring smooth and effective operations across both organisations.We are looking for a candidate with strong financial acumen, excellent organisational skills, and an understanding of the grant-making process. Its key priorities are Building Sustainable Communities, Enabling Young People to Realise Their Potential, and Empowering Women and Girls.Learn more: www.cosaraf.org Key ResponsibilitiesGrants ManagementLead on the administration of all the grants programmes (e.g., Community, Match-Funding, Hardship Grants).Support the management of major and partnership grants, including processing applications, due diligence, payments, and monitoring.Maintain accurate records of grants, payments, and communications using Salesforce CRM and other relevant systems.Provide advice and support to applicants and grantees throughout the grant lifecycle.Liaise with the Communications team to share impact stories and promote funded projects at CareTech Foundation.Financial AdministrationProcess invoices, grant payments, and expenses across both foundations.Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and provide monthly budget updates.Support the preparation of management accounts and assist with audit and independent examination processes.Monitor expenditure against budgets and ensure compliance with financial controls.Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and trustees as required.Monitoring, Evaluation & ReportingTrack receipt of monitoring and evaluation reports from grant recipients.Review and compile impact data for internal reporting and public impact reports.Support the use of data to assess grant outcomes and inform strategy development.Communications & Stakeholder EngagementAct as a key point of contact for both foundations, responding to grant and funding enquiries.Support relationship management with grantees, donors, and partners.Assist with updates to websites and social media to highlight funded projects and achievements for COSARAF Foundation.Contribute to written reports and presentations for trustee boards and other stakeholders.General AdministrationProvide administrative and coordination support to both foundations, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.Undertake research to support strategic planning and funding prioritiesSkills and ExperienceEssentialDemonstrable experience in financial administration and/or bookkeeping.Experience in a grant-making or charity finance environment.Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Competence with digital systems and data management.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.DesirableExperience with Salesforce CRM or other grants management systems.Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Brightpay).Understanding of charitable governance and financial reporting requirements.
