We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Band 3 Dental Receptionist in Community Dental Services at Appleby Dental in Inner North East London (INEL). We are looking for someone passionate about delivering high-quality care to patients across the London boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets, and Newham.
Services offered include Sedation, Special Care Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Domiciliary care, Bariatric care, and a Dental Mobile service for the homeless and medium secure unit.
The ideal candidate must be able to work in a busy environment while staying calm and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellent care standards. This role involves administrative and reception tasks for special care patients in community settings. While the position is based at an agreed clinic, it requires covering all dental sites in INEL.
Applicants must meet the skill level outlined in the person specification, but we also welcome those eager to enhance their knowledge and skills to gain a recognized qualification, which we will support. Lack of essential skills may not automatically disqualify you from being considered for an interview.
Your Role Will Be To
- Provide high-quality customer service to patients and visitors, supporting the dental team effectively
- Perform reception duties, greet patients, and manage daily schedules and dental records for efficient operations.
- Execute administrative tasks as directed by the Dentist or Dental Nurse team leader to support clinic functions.
- Implement service initiatives adhering to standards like CQC, Dental Practice Inspections, SOPs, and Health & Safety Risk Assessments.
- Demonstrate independence, proactivity, and the ability to work under pressure, including filing medical records alphabetically.
