Could you be the leader who shapes the future of housing and communities in North East Lincolnshire?
If you’re someone who thrives on strategic leadership, collaborative partnerships, and delivering real impact for people and places, this could be the role for you.
North East Lincolnshire Council is reimagining how we support our communities—placing people, place, and purpose at the heart of everything we do. As part of this bold transformation, we’re looking for an exceptional leader to join us as?Assistant Director for Housing and Communities.
What’s the role all about?
This is more than just housing—it’s about creating the conditions for thriving, inclusive communities. You’ll lead the council’s strategic housing functions, from homelessness and housing advice to private sector renewal and social housing partnerships. You’ll also champion our relationship with the voluntary and community sector, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.
You’ll be at the forefront of delivering our housing strategy, shaping policy, securing investment, and driving innovation. Whether it’s overseeing the delivery of the Household Support Fund, coordinating housing-related support, or leading on the interface with Disabled Facilities Grants, you’ll be making a tangible difference every day.
What will your day look like?
- Leading a high-performing team across housing strategy, homelessness, and community partnerships.
- Building strong relationships with social housing providers, voluntary organisations, and regional partners.
- Driving forward strategic programmes and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
- Championing a place-based approach that reflects the needs and aspirations of our residents.
- Acting as an ambassador for North East Lincolnshire—internally and externally.
Who are we looking for?
