Job Title: Senior Complex Case Worker
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours)
Location: London
Salary: £44,500 per annum
Closing Date: 16th June 2025
New opportunity not to be missed! Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Senior Complex Case Worker to join our Therapeutic Service based in London.
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently.
Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.
Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The current requirement is a minimum of two days in the office per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. From 1 July 2025, this will increase to a minimum of 50% of your working week. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). For colleagues on different contracts (including part-time or compressed contracts) this will be adjusted accordingly.
What you will be doing:
- To lead a small Complex Case team supporting Young People at Centrepoint
- To advocate for young people with complex needs and to use relevant legislation to ensure that they receive the support that they are entitled to
- To work collaboratively with frontline services to respond effectively to more serious mental health presentations, or cases where risk is perceived
- To work collaboratively with Therapeutic Services, PIE and Support & Housing colleagues as part of our Multi-Disciplinary Approach providing interventions to the most vulnerable Centrepoint young people around the country.
You will be required to work closely with the young people, and should be an excellent communicator with an approachable nature. You must be capable of dealing with the young people in a calm and understanding manner. You will be required to work with young people on a casework basis to develop a support plan which is centred on their individual needs and then provide support (in conjunction with a range of other agencies) to enable young people to achieve their goals.
In return for your efforts you’ll receive a competitive salary, excellent training and development, and a host of staff benefits including:
- 25 days of annual leave per year, rising by one day per year to a maximum of 27 days
- Excellent training package to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to build a new career
- Employer pension contributions of 4%
- Clear career progressions, linked to portfolio work, that enables movement up the pay scale
- Access to Cycle 2 Work loan scheme
- An interest-free travel loan
At Centrepoint we challenge the discrimination within society that contributes to youth homelessness, and we are just as committed to fairness and equality within Centrepoint itself.
