About the Role

This is a new & exciting opportunity to play a key role within Gloucester City Council, the Strategic Rough Sleeping Specialist post aims are to focus on rough sleeping in Gloucester. To co-ordinate a partnership approach to provide specialist support, act as lead officer on the delivery of projects to end rough sleeping within Gloucester and be responsible for delivering the Council’s Ending Rough Sleeping Plan and to secure positive outcomes.
What we need from you:
You will need to demonstrate practical knowledge and thorough understanding of homelessness and the factors that contribute to individuals sleeping rough, to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders in the statutory and voluntary sector agencies. Successfully lead on projects, development of the referral pathways and multi-agency interventions for service users.
You will the ability to analyse data, to monitor and assess the outcomes of rough sleeper interventions. Oversee and administer local grant funding, contract monitoring and contributing to funding bids.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills, and the ability to work flexibly, experience of coping well under pressure, dealing with challenging situations and securing positive outcomes.
Ability to travel throughout Gloucestershire as required.
