The role of the Development Manager is to lead on the place-based regeneration work of the Trust in Wales; utilising a community-wealth building approach. The aim of the role is to seek opportunities and deliver programmes to reduce spatial health, social and economic inequalities in coalfield areas of deep rooted deprivation (WIMD).
A key essential requirement is to collaborate; utilising and building upon the Trust’s networks and partnerships to deliver programmes. This will involve: utilising a co-production approach; working with strategic partners; grass roots organisations; and community representatives to shape, develop and deliver programmes of work.
The role will also involve:
- Town Centre Regeneration: Developing local community led initiatives and/or partnerships to support Town Centre regeneration;
- Capacity Building: Collaborating with partner organisations and stakeholders to address gaps in provision and build social capacity;
- Community Wealth Building: Seeking opportunities for long-term development and investment, based on a community wealth building approach;
- CRT Community Asset Management: Overseeing the management and statutory compliance of CRT Community assets in Wales to maximise social return on investment;
- Alignment to CRT’s Strategy: Proactively contribute to the delivery of the CRT Strategy, national delivery plan and overall objectives, by delivering CRT’s place based work to meet agreed spend, outcomes and KPI targets;
