Are you a confident communicator who can deliver key messages effectively and foster strong, influential relationships with senior political stakeholders?
Are you eager to take initiative and contribute to a cause that makes a tangible difference for those in need?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
At StepChange Debt Charity, we're dedicated to building a society free from problem debt. We’re looking for a proactive Senior Parliamentary and Public Affairs Adviser to turn our vision into reality. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our advocacy efforts, engaging with key stakeholders, and driving our key messages forward.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will build relationships with influential individuals and organisations, and design effective lobbying campaigns alongside our Campaigns & Public Affairs Manager. You will monitor political developments, provide insights to inform strategy, and support senior leaders with compelling speeches and briefings. Representing the charity externally, you will ensure our voice is heard in the fight against problem debt.
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in public affairs and familiarity with the UK political system, excellent communication skills, and a creative approach to advocacy. If you thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about creating meaningful change, we want to hear from you.
