What We Do
Our work touches many lives:
- Housing: We provide homes and holistic support to over 700 individuals each year, including those at risk of homelessness, facing financial hardship, or needing high support levels.
- Health & Wellbeing: Our centre in Bath offers a fully-equipped gym, functional fitness areas, and a diverse class program.
- Youth Clubs: We run 12 youth clubs for ages 11-19, including groups for young carers, offering safe spaces to connect, learn, and grow.
- Nurseries: With eight nurseries across the region, we provide high-quality early education to 360 children, supporting their journey into school and beyond.
- Commercial Hostels: Our hostels in Bath and Bristol support our work while also covering essential operational costs.
Role Overview
As a Youth Worker, you’ll provide a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for young people aged 11-19 accessing youth clubs in South Somerset, to design, deliver and evaluate a range of informal learning opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Level 2 qualification in youth work or equivalent experience in youth engagement.
- Previous experience working face-to-face with young people in a paid or voluntary capacity aged 11-19.
- A knowledge of issues affecting young people to aid them to achieve their full potential.
Location: South Somerset
Hours: 3 hours per week 4:30 – 7:30pm Term time only (Monday evenings)
Contract: Fixed until 31st December (potential extension based on funding)
Rate of Pay: £12.37 per hour
