£13.95 per hour

(evening and weekends)

Fixed term contract, end date 31st July 2027

Location: Edinburgh House, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

Help young people build healthier, happier futures.

YMCA North Staffordshire are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Wellbeing Worker to provide support, guidance and engaging wellbeing activities that promote positive physical, emotional and social wellbeing for young people.

As our Wellbeing Worker, you will:

• Create safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces where young people feel valued, supported and empowered
• Plan and deliver wellbeing-focused activities
• Build positive and trusting relationships
• Encourage healthy lifestyles and build resilience
• Provide information, advice and signposting to relevant services to ensure young people can access the support they need
• Identify opportunities to bring in external organisations or professionals to provide information and learning opportunities and provide additional support
• Maintain accurate records

An ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of working with young people in a support, youthwork, wellbeing or community setting
• Experience of planning and delivering activities and workshops
• Ability to engage, motivate and build positive relationships with young people
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team

The role is subject to an enhanced DBS and reference checks.
