Second Step, a mental health charity in the South West, seeks Bank Workers to support crisis services across Somerset. This flexible role involves ad hoc shift work, primarily evening hours.
Salary: £14.08 per hour (£21.12 on bank holidays); £13.45 per hour for mandatory training. Hours: 5:30pm-11pm shifts on an ad hoc basis with no guaranteed minimum. Locations: Bridgwater, Frome, Wells, plus potential opportunities in Yeovil, Weston-super-Mare, Bath, and Swindon.
Bank Workers support the Crisis Safe Space, providing immediate crisis prevention through in-person or telephone appointments for Somerset residents. The organisation emphasises practical help and emotional support tailored to individual recovery needs.
Candidates should demonstrate significant experience supporting people in mental health crisis through paid work, volunteering, or personal responsibilities.
