YMCA Newcastle are recruiting a Supported Housing Team Leader to manage a team of support workers providing housing support to young people in the care system.
Salary: £28,084.57 per annum (Grade G2)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 4-on-4-off 12-hour rota including weekends and bank holidays
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
About the Role:
As a Supported Housing Team Leader at YMCA Newcastle, you will lead and manage a team of support workers delivering support to 15 young people in the care system who are living in housed accommodation. You will provide day-to-day line management, ensure consistent, high-quality support, and promote a trauma-informed approach to working with young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day line management and support for a team of support workers
- Oversee the delivery of support to 15 young people in a housed supported accommodation service
- Ensure support plans are co-produced, reviewed and outcome-focused
- Promote safeguarding and trauma-informed practice across the team
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and the wider YMCA Newcastle team
- Support quality assurance and compliance with commissioning requirements
- Work a 4-on-4-off 12-hour shift pattern including weekends and bank holidays
About You:
- Experience working in supported housing, particularly with young people
- Previous line management experience is desirable
- Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and relevant legislation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
