This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated maintenance professional with strong leadership skills and a customer-focused mindset to join a growing and dynamic team.

About the Role

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of operatives, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, and to agreed service standards. You'll play a key role in delivering operational excellence while supporting performance, customer satisfaction, and commercial outcomes.

You will also deputise for the Contract Manager where required and support the development of a high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, survey, schedule and coordinate works, liaising with customers, contractors and internal teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, and industry standards including Gas Safe and EIC/NIC compliance.
  • Monitor and report on team performance, KPIs and service delivery outcomes.
  • Manage stock, materials, equipment and supply chain performance to maximise efficiency.
  • Support customer engagement and resolve service issues before they escalate to formal complaints.
  • Recruit, coach, develop and manage staff performance, ensuring continuous improvement across the team.
  • Build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders and use feedback to improve services.
  • Contribute to new initiatives, process improvements and business growth opportunities.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience supervising teams within a repairs, maintenance or property services environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of housing maintenance and fault diagnosis.
  • Experience delivering customer-focused services and managing performance against targets.
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including CDM regulations, asbestos awareness, manual handling and working at height.
  • Proven trade background with relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or recognised apprenticeship.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Desirable

  • Site Safety Management Training Scheme (SSMTS) qualification.
  • Institute of Leadership and Management qualification or equivalent supervisory experience.
  • Experience using housing management and resource scheduling systems, such as Northgate or Dynamic Resource System.
