The Details
- Role: Senior Housing Support
- Hours: 37.5hrs per week
On rota to support team cover of core hours 08h00-18h00 Monday to Friday; 10h00-14h00 weekends (time is given back where weekend working is required, but a flexible approach is expected for continuity of service) - Salary: £30,463pa (£15.58 per hour)
- Location: Stoke Gifford Retirement Village, Edward Parker Road, Bristol, BS16 1YG
This role would ideally suit someone who has managed a small team and is now looking for a new challenge. You may be experienced working within Social Care, a Housing role, or within a multi-occupied building as a Concierge, Front of House, Customer Service or similar.
What will you do as our Senior Housing Support?
- Carry out regular resident visits
- Provide information, support and advice to residents and help resolve low level neighbour issues
- Check that residents are safe and that the building and the grounds are secure
- Ensure that repairs are completed and health & safety checks are carried out
- Manage Housing Support Assistants and Reception, ensuring appropriate coverage
- Establish and maintain good relations with recognised Residents Associations, providing a supporting role to their effective running.
- Help residents understand written correspondence in relation to housing related debts, providing advice and reassurance
- Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements for our housing and care obligations
Our ideal Senior Housing Support will have:
- Experience of managing or supervising staff
- Experience of housing management or housing support is preferred, however transferrable skills from experience of customer service in another sector would be acceptable
- Excellent communication skills
- CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing Practice, or willing to work towards
