1625 Independent People are recruiting Relief Workers to join the team at Woodleaze, their supported accommodation scheme in Yate, South Gloucestershire.
Salary: £13.45 per hour (days) / £13.55 per hour (nights)
Hours: Relief/bank hours as required
Location: Woodleaze, Yate, South Gloucestershire
About the Role:
Relief Workers at Woodleaze provide flexible cover across day and night shifts, supporting young people aged 16-25 living in supported accommodation. You will provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment, responding to the needs of residents and helping to ensure the smooth running of the scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide housing support and supervision to young people during shift cover
- Respond to resident queries, incidents and emergencies
- Carry out property checks and report any maintenance issues
- Complete accurate records, logs and handover documentation
- Support residents with day-to-day living skills and housing-related tasks
- Work collaboratively with the permanent team
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures
About You:
- Experience of working with young people or vulnerable adults in a housing or support setting is desirable
- Flexibility to cover a range of shifts including days and nights
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and a commitment to providing high-quality support
- An understanding of the issues faced by young people experiencing homelessness is advantageous
