1625 Independent People are recruiting for a Night Housing Worker to join their team in Yate on a full-time basis.
Salary: £29,071 – £30,515 per year pro rata
Hours: 36 hours per week
Location: Yate, South Gloucestershire
About the Role:
The Night Housing Worker will provide overnight housing support and a safe, supervised environment for young people living in supported accommodation in Yate. You will monitor the wellbeing of residents throughout the night, respond to any incidents or emergencies and ensure the smooth and safe running of the scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide waking night support and supervision to young people in supported accommodation
- Monitor resident safety and wellbeing throughout the night
- Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and emergencies
- Complete accurate records, incident reports and handover notes
- Support residents with immediate housing and personal support needs
- Carry out regular building checks and ensure site security
- Work collaboratively with the day team and other professionals
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures
About You:
- Experience of working in a housing, support or care setting, ideally with young people
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative during night shifts
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and commitment to regular night working
- An understanding of the needs of young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability
1625 Independent People is a Bristol-based charity working with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
