This vacancy is one of the two part-time vacancies within the Stay and Kip partnership.
Location: Telford and Wrekin
Hours: 24 hours per week. Hours will be worked flexibly across five days and will include planned early morning verification activity where required.
Monday, Tuesday 9:30am – 2:30pm
Wednesday 9:30am – 1:30pm
Thursday, Friday 5:30am – 10:30am
Please note, Additional on-call cover will be required during severe weather, including weekends and bank holidays.
Salary: £14.05 per hour. Salaries will be paid pro rata according to contracted hours and reviewed annually in April.
Contract: Permanent / part-time, following successful completion of the probationary period

Join Stay and KiP in delivering a coordinated outreach response across Telford and Wrekin, providing practical support, advocacy and pathway navigation that helps people move towards stability, accommodation and independence.
About the Role
These roles form part of the Stay and Urban KiP Outreach partnership, providing a borough-wide response for people rough sleeping across Telford and Wrekin. The service will focus on planned early morning verification, daytime outreach, welfare checks, practical support, advocacy and relationship-based engagement.
As part of the outreach partnership, you will:
- Undertake planned early morning verification activity across Telford and Wrekin as part of the shared outreach rota.
- Provide daytime outreach, welfare and health checks, practical support, advocacy and relationship-based engagement.
- Support people who are rough sleeping to access accommodation pathways, appointments, services and wider community or statutory support.
- Share relevant information, risks, referrals, support plans and case updates through agreed systems and processes.
- Work closely with Stay, KiP, Telford & Wrekin Council, the Rough Sleeper Task Force and wider partners to avoid duplication and support effective handovers.
- Record outreach activity accurately using agreed systems, including In-Form where appropriate, and contribute to regular reporting about service activity, outcomes and emerging needs.
- For the Outreach Coordinator role, you will also support the coordination of the shared verification plan, day-to-day planning, handovers, reporting information and reflective check-ins with the Urban KiP Outreach Worker.
- The Urban KiP Outreach Worker will coordinate activities in the absence of the coordinator and ensure information is shared with relevant agencies and individuals.
About You

- Have experience supporting people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, complex needs or multiple disadvantage.
- Are committed to trauma-informed, person-centred and non-judgmental support.
- Can build trusted relationships with people who may need flexible or sustained support before they are ready to engage.
You’ll need:
- A full, valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
- The ability to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, funded by the relevant employing organisation.
- An empathetic, resilient and non-judgmental approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
