About the Role:
As a Housing Specialist, you’ll be responsible for delivering a customer-focused housing management service across a defined geographical area. You’ll work closely with customers, colleagues and partner organisations to resolve tenancy-related issues, sustain tenancies and increase our visibility in local communities through estate walkabouts, community activity and targeted action events.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll:
- Deliver tenancy management activity, including inspections, tenancy changes, fraud concerns and breaches of tenancy.
- Support customers who need help to sustain their tenancy, signposting to internal teams, external partners and support agencies where needed.
- Build strong relationships with residents, local authorities, statutory services, community organisations and elected representatives.
- Maintain a visible presence across estates and neighbourhoods, helping to identify issues early and support joined-up local solutions.
- Contribute to complaints resolution, customer insight and learning that improves services and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively on new build, reinvestment and relocation activity, keeping customers informed and supported throughout.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Proven experience of delivering excellent customer, neighbourhood or tenancy management services.
- A good working knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management, welfare benefits and support services.
- Experience of partnership working and the confidence to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally.
- A customer-focused approach, high personal integrity and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

What you’ll get in return:
This is a permanent role working 35 hours per week. You will be working across various locations in Merseyside.
You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. This includes a 3-day Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year and you have the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually.
