This position with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the community's most vulnerable members. The role involves delivering responsive small repairs and handyperson services to elderly, disabled, and vulnerable individuals across all housing tenures while maintaining compliance with procedures and Health & Safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Programming, installing, and servicing Community Alarms and Assistive Technology equipment with comprehensive customer instruction. Conducting Home Fire Safety Checks and installing smoke detectors as directed by Fire and Rescue services. Installing domestic violence safety equipment provided through Community Safety partnerships. Collaborating with local authorities and partner agencies on assigned projects. Following Fire & Rescue Guidance when operating designated vehicles. Accountability for Trade Card usage. Identifying service improvement opportunities and implementing changes. Working collaboratively to strengthen service effectiveness. Essential Requirements: Full clean UK driving license (mandatory). Skills-based experience and training, preferably from a complete craft apprenticeship. Willingness to work occasional additional hours when needed. Commitment to undertaking trade and professional development training. Established background in a recognised trade.
