Finance Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team and help deliver a timely, accurate and customer-focused finance service across the organisation.
This role is integral to ensuring strong financial controls, supporting colleagues across the business, and working closely with suppliers and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for processing purchase invoices and rental income, resolving queries, and supporting key finance processes including month-end and year-end activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing accounts payable and receivable in line with financial procedures
- Acting as the main point of contact for purchase ledger, sales ledger and rent queries
- Reconciling supplier statements and credit card statements
- Resolving supplier and internal finance queries efficiently and professionally
- Supporting the preparation of year-end audit files
- Scanning and processing incoming post
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain strong financial controls
You will also play a key role in championing our values, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and respectful working environment.
About You
You’ll have experience working in a similar finance role and be comfortable working to deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll be confident using IT systems, including Excel, and able to work on your own initiative while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the organisation.
A proactive and adaptable approach, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality customer service are essential.
