About Our Team
We work with our customers to deliver high-quality facilities, products and services that achieve cost effective solutions. Using our expertise and a flexible approach, we tailor our services, whilst ensuring compliance with key legislation to meet and exceed the changing needs of our organisation and support a shared vision.
The Facilities Management Team provide soft FM contract management services to the Calico Group. This delivers planned maintenance and remedial services to our offices and non-domestic buildings to ensure we meet health and safety, compliance and environmental regulations and standards.
Our ability to procure goods and services efficiently also supports the Executive Director of Finance in ensuring we deliver savings that achieve value for money across the Group.
Whilst the main work of the team has an overall Corporate and External focus, Facilities work as part of the wider Group Business Services Team supporting our businesses and charities to make a real difference to people’s lives.
The Opportunity
The Soft Facilities Manager is responsible for the effective operational management of all non-technical facilities services across the organisation. The role ensures the delivery of safe, compliant, cost-effective and customer-focused services including cleaning, waste management, workplace support services, fleet management, utilities, helpdesk operations and associated facilities contracts.

What We’re Looking For
We believe in recruiting for potential as well as experience. Our ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience managing Soft Facilities Management services within a multi-site environment.
- Recognised management qualification or equivalent experience.
- IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to achieve within a specified timeframe).
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Significant experience in a Facilities Management role, with responsibility for the delivery of Soft FM services across multiple sites.
- Proven experience managing service contracts and supplier performance, including monitoring KPIs, SLAs and continuous improvement plans.
- Strong contract and supplier management capability, with experience holding providers accountable for service quality and performance.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, landlords and external partners.
