Join Stay as our Domestic Abuse Housing Team Leader and lead the delivery of high-quality housing management within our domestic abuse accommodation, supporting residents to sustain safe accommodation and move towards greater independence.

 

About the Role

You will provide day-to-day leadership to the Domestic Abuse and Housing Team and oversee housing management within Stay’s domestic abuse accommodation, ensuring the service is delivered consistently, safely and in line with Stay’s policies and contractual requirements.

As Domestic Abuse Housing Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead, support and supervise the Housing Team to deliver a consistent, responsive and high-quality service
  • Oversee the day-to-day housing management of the domestic abuse accommodation, responding appropriately to residents’ needs, risks and safety considerations
  • Oversee tenancy and licence management, rent collection, arrears, voids, property standards and anti-social behaviour
  • Ensure accommodation is safe, compliant and managed in line with relevant housing, health and safety, safeguarding, domestic abuse and fire safety requirements
  • Monitor service performance, maintain accurate records and provide clear reports for managers and partners
  • Work collaboratively with support teams, landlords, local authorities and other partners to resolve housing issues
  • Oversee referrals, assessments, allocations, safeguarding concerns and complex housing cases, ensuring decisions are fair, timely, evidenced and in line with Stay’s procedures
  • Promote a trauma-informed and person-centred approach that helps residents sustain their accommodation and develop independent living skills

 

About You

You could be a great fit for this role if you:

  • Have experience of intensive housing management within supported or social housing, ideally involving people affected by domestic abuse
  • Have experience of leading, supervising and developing a team
  • Are organised, confident in making decisions and able to work effectively with internal and external partners

You’ll need:

  • A full, valid UK driving licence
  • A car insured for business use
