This role requires regular national travel across CAS2 services and therefore the ability to travel extensively is essential.

This role offers a starting salary within Nacro’s pay structure of £37,581pro rata entry point with expected progression to £38,708 pro rata established within the first year, subject to meeting clear criteria and performance standards, with further pay progression available in the future. This role sits within Nacro's Community Accommodation with Support, Tier 2 (CAS2) programme, providing specialist practice leadership and support across services nationwide. The post holder will strengthen the quality, consistency and effectiveness of support for people experiencing multiple and interacting disadvantage, helping operational teams respond confidently to complex needs, risk and safeguarding concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialist Practice Consultation: Act as the lead specialist contact for Service Leads and frontline teams, providing expert advice and consultation on complex, high-risk and multi-faceted support cases, helping teams assess needs, manage risks and coordinate effective interventions.
  •  Practice Development & Workforce Capability: Build staff confidence and competence through coaching, reflective practice, mentoring, workshops and case-based learning, ensuring evidence-based approaches are embedded across CAS2 services.
  •  Multi-Agency Collaboration: Support operational teams to work effectively with probation services, prisons, local authorities, safeguarding partners, health services, housing providers and voluntary sector organisations to achieve the best outcomes for service users.
  •  Quality Improvement & Organisational Learning: Analyse trends, incidents, audits and consultation themes to identify improvements, promote best practice and contribute to service-wide learning and development initiatives.
  •  Safeguarding & Risk Management: Provide specialist guidance on safeguarding, risk assessment and risk management, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance, contractual requirements and organisational policies.
  •  Reporting & Impact: Maintain accurate records of consultation activity, produce reports and briefings, monitor themes and outcomes, and help evaluate the effectiveness of practice-development intervention

About You:

  • Experienced in supporting people with multiple and complex needs within criminal justice, housing, homelessness, social care or related services.
  • Strong knowledge of complex case management, safeguarding, risk assessment and person-centred support planning.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed, psychologically informed, strengths-based and co-produced approaches.
  • Experience working across organisational boundaries and supporting effective multi-agency partnerships.
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring, facilitating reflective practice and developing colleagues.
  • Confident analysing complex information and providing balanced, professional advice.
  • Able to identify learning needs and translate them into practical service improvements.
  • Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills.
  • Comfortable working independently across a geographically dispersed service.
  • Resilient, collaborative and committed to achieving positive outcomes for service users

Essential Skills & Qualities:

  • Relevant professional qualification at Level 4 or above, or equivalent specialist experience working with people facing multiple and interacting disadvantage.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to influence, support and constructively challenge operational practice.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Competent ICT skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and case management systems.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required
