Apprenticeship Details

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll split your time between practical on-the-job learning and college-based study, developing the skills and experience needed to become qualified.

Entry Requirements

Essential

• GCSE English at Grade 4 or above
• GCSE Maths at Grade 4 or above

Calico reviews apprentice pay annually and reserves the right to pay above statutory minimum rates.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Commercial Administration Apprentice, you’ll support the Commercial Team with the day-to-day tasks that help the department run smoothly. You’ll gain hands-on experience in procurement, purchasing and commercial administration, while learning how the team works with suppliers and manages projects.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Helping to get quotes and prices from suppliers.
• Supporting with purchase orders, tenders and payments.
• Keeping supplier, project and contract information accurate and up to date.
• Maintaining trackers, documents and job files.
• Communicating with colleagues, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Supporting the wider Commercial Team with general administration, meetings and project information

What We're Looking For

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or above.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable, motivated and organised.
• Commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme.

What Happens After My Apprenticeship?

Many apprenticeships are the start of a long-term career.

Whilst we cannot guarantee permanent employment, successful apprentices may have opportunities to:
