Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Housing Officer - Independent Living to join our Independent Living programme team based in London.
About us
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
The independent living programme offers high quality, truly affordable housing to young people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness in London and Manchester. We have an ambition to build 300 new homes and support local authorities and housing providers to join us in finding new solutions to end youth homelessness.

What you’ll be doing
- Ensure income is maximised through effective rent collection.
- Carry out assessment and tenancy sign up.
- Carry out weekly health and safety inspections.
- Raise repair and void works.
- Support team to deliver effective housing management.
- Manage ASB issues.
- Travelling between services to meet residents and contractors.
- Prepare legal cases and witness statement. Represent organisation in court.
