Our service Aims are to work in close partnership with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies and partners to provide a co-ordinated response to prevent and reduce rough sleeping and street-based activity across North East Lincolnshire.
Night Support Worker

Experience in a support environment is an advantage, but we are more interested in what each person brings to the role.
PURPOSE AND KEY TASKS:
· Ensuring that Service Users who attend the Night Shelter have a warm, safe and welcoming environment in which to stay
· To welcome and register Service Users as they enter the building
· Ensure that at all times the Shelter is a safe and secure environment
· Ensure that all relevant documentation / records are accurately maintained and appropriate stored
· Develop appropriate and positive relationships with Service Users during their stay, and provide practical help and assistance where required.
· Liaise with other agencies as required, encouraging and supporting a collaborative partnership approach to work
· With Colleagues, ensure Service Users are appropriately assessed on arrival at the Night Shelter, contributing to needs, risk and support plans for Service Users as required
· To assist Service Users to identify and secure move-on accommodation on leaving the Night Shelter
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· To ensure that personal contact with all colleagues and customers supports the Organisation’s diversity policy.
· To positively promote the Organisation and its services in all contact / meetings with external agencies and customers.
· To adhere to Harbour Place’s health and safety policy and procedure, and promote safe systems of working for self, colleagues and customers.
· To be an effective communicator with a professional but friendly approach to work.
· To embrace an ethos of continuous improvement in own and organisational service delivery.
