We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing care and assistance to individuals in need. The role involves offering support to residential home, the homes house vulnerable tenants. The Support Worker is responsible for providing direct support and effective communication with tenants who have specific support needs. This role involves working closely with vulnerable tenants, understanding their individual circumstances, and coordinating the necessary resources and services to ensure their well-being and stability in housing. The Support Worker will act as a compassionate advocate and liaison, ensuring tenants receive the appropriate support while promoting an inclusive and respectful living environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Tenant Communication:
- Establish and maintain open, respectful, and empathetic communication with tenants.
- Regularly check in with tenants to understand their needs, concerns, and feedback.
- Provide timely and accurate information regarding available resources, services, and community events.
Support Coordination:
- Assess the specific support needs of vulnerable tenants, including those related to health, mental health, financial stability, and social services.
- Develop personalised support plans in collaboration with tenants and relevant service providers.
- Coordinate with organisations to connect tenants with necessary resources.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of tenant interactions, support plans, and progress.
- Prepare regular reports on tenant support activities and outcomes for internal review and compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a housing or social services setting. (Preferred)
- Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with tenants.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity when dealing with diverse tenant populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for record-keeping and communication.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to travel locally for tenant visits and community meetings.
- Comfortable working in a variety of housing environments, including emergency shelters and transitional housing.
