We currently have an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an experiencedHousing Support Worker to join our team within our establishedEsgyn Service in the Vale of Glamorgan, which provides a housing related floating support service for people with learning disabilities, autism, developmental disorders, low level mental health or physical disabilities.
This is a permanent, full time role working 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
What you'll do
This role will be key in providing a personalised psychologically informed service in accordance with our service users’ needs. You will be working in close partnership with all relevant agencies and local networks to support individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to sustain a tenancy and fulfill their potential.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role you will have experience of supporting individuals with varying support needs. You will have a good understanding of the changing needs of individuals with a sound working knowledge of the Housing Benefits system. You will need excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships.
A qualification in Social Care or related discipline is desirable but not essential.
You will need a full, current driving license and use of a vehicle.
