About the role
Centrepoint is seeking 2 X Recruitment Administrator for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support our Recruitment team in ensuring Ofsted compliance and helping clear a backlog of new starter files. Based out of our newly renovated Manchester offices in the vibrant Northern Quarter, this role offers hybrid working options once initial training is completed.
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting our safer recruitment processes, ensuring that all new starters meet strict Ofsted and safer recruitment guidelines. You will be responsible for performing DBS checks, reference verification, right-to-work documentation, and all essential compliance tasks for onboarding new starters. Working closely with our in-house Recruitment Specialist, you’ll contribute to Centrepoint’s mission of creating a safe, supportive environment for both our team and those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out comprehensive pre-employment compliance checks for all new starters, including DBS checks, references, and right-to-work verification, in line with Ofsted requirements.
- Working through a backlog of recruitment compliance tasks to ensure all new hires meet Centrepoint’s high standards for safety and safeguarding.
- Providing end-to-end recruitment administration support, from posting job ads to managing applicant tracking and coordinating interviews.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of all recruitment checks in line with GDPR and data protection guidelines.
- Collaborating with the Human Resources team to support the delivery of Centrepoint’s People and Organisational strategy.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in Recruitment Administration: Ideally with a background in HR compliance or working within a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of Ofsted Guidelines and Safer Recruitment Practices: Familiarity with safeguarding requirements and the ability to ensure compliance with Ofsted standards.
- Strong Organisational Skills: An eye for detail and accuracy, especially when handling high volumes of work and maintaining records.
- Experience with Compliance and Data Management Systems: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HR information systems (HRIS) to manage and track compliance and recruitment data accurately.
- Attention to Regulatory Detail: A thorough understanding of employment law and compliance regulations, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of data accuracy and integrity.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with candidates, hiring managers, and the HR team.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to navigate and resolve compliance-related challenges efficiently, particularly when working through large volumes of new starter checks.
- Ability to Prioritize and Multitask: Proven track record of managing multiple tasks and priorities, especially in a fast-paced, high-compliance setting.
- Discretion and Confidentiality: High level of professionalism in handling sensitive information, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
- Proactive, Team-Oriented Approach: A commitment to Centrepoint’s values and a collaborative approach to supporting the HR team’s goals.
