ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Recovery Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting residents/participants with a range of needs. Your responsibilities include developing and reviewing support plans, conducting welfare checks, and offering life skills guidance to promote informed decision-making and independence. You’ll also help residents identify and achieve their goals by:
- Conducting support sessions, safeguarding assessments, and monitoring for signs of deteriorating mental or physical health, taking action to prevent crises where needed.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that meets health and safety standards.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to optimise service delivery.
- Following safeguarding and risk management procedures, sharing relevant information with partner agencies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our residents.
Our Mental Health Supported Housing Service provides Mental Health supported Service across 6 service within the London Borough of Lewisham. It comprise of medium to High Support, providing vital support to adults facing complex challenges, including mental health issues, substance misuse, forensic histories, and homelessness. Operating across four buildings, including one 24-hour service, we use a trauma-informed approach to empower individuals on their recovery journey, helping them achieve mental stability and independence.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday Rota, Early: 08:00 - 16:00, Day: 09:00 - 17:00 Late: 14:00 - 22:00 face to face support.

What are we looking for?
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
- Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
What would we like, but not essential?
- Experience creating co-produced support plans and providing appropriate interventions for residents/participants and liaising with other professionals
- NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Psychology/Community Justice or professional equivalent
