As a Night Supported Housing Assistant in our brand new Bournemouth services, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our residents, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and compassion. Interviews will be held week commencing 7th October 2024.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Conduct regular building health and safety inspections, promptly addressing any risks and coordinating necessary repairs.
- Provide guidance and support to young people on managing risk, health, and safety concerns.
- Foster positive relationships and support networks among residents, promoting their well-being and development.
- Offer advice and assistance on benefits, local services, and our complaints procedure.
- Respond appropriately to welfare concerns, including child protection and vulnerable adult issues, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare accommodations for new residents and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Ensure premises meet legal and statutory requirements for safe operation.
What We Would Be Looking For From You:
- Knowledge and Skills:
1. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in IT.
2. Experience in maintaining detailed records and achieving outcomes with young people.
3. Knowledge of resources available to young homeless people and the ability to offer reliable advice.
4. Ability to engage positively with young people.
5. Effective time management skills.
6. Customer service experience with a focus on meeting diverse needs.
7. Commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
