We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently.
Together with our partners, we support thousands of homeless young people each year.
The Finance team plays a key role at Centrepoint with a focus on customer service. We support the organisation by producing monthly management accounts ensuring that there is reliable and informative financial information available.
Value for money plays an integral part of our planning. We are responsible for setting and monitoring budgets working with and in support of our budget holders to enable Centrepoint to deliver our strategic objective of providing a home and a job for all young people we support.
Treasury management is a vital function to ensure we make the most of our finances, that our income is collected in a timely manner and supplier and staff payments are accurate and on time. We check that expenditure is properly authorised in accordance with our financial delegations and regulations.
Finance is also responsible for the safeguarding of Centrepoint’s fixed assets.
What you’ll be doing…
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Preparing high-quality monthly management reporting
- Streamlining and automating month end processes
- Producing regular balance sheet reconciliations
- Working closely with the wider Finance team
- Helping deliver the Finance Functional Strategy
What we’d be looking for from you…
- Some knowledge of financial processes, procedures and accounting standards
- On-the-job experience of assisting with month-end processing
- Experience of managing and developing staff
- Intermediate Excel skills
