Prospectus is pleased to support a homelessness organisation in recruiting for a Supported Housing Operations Manager. Operating in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Berkshire, this national charity is dedicated to supporting individuals in need of care and those who cannot afford to buy or rent homes at market rates. They fulfil this mission by constructing hundreds of essential new homes and offering care and supported housing services to a diverse range of people.
The Supported Housing Operations Manager (Homelessness) will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of several supported housing schemes designed for individuals experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantages. This role is critical in ensuring that the services provided are psychologically and trauma-informed, aligned with the Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) principle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the performance and management of services, including supported housing and community-based outreach/support services.
- Ensuring budget control and the provision of high-quality, appropriate support.
- Adhering to policy/procedures, health & safety, and risk management protocols.
- Supporting service development, including taking the operational lead in developing new services and transforming existing ones.
- Collaborating with Scheme Managers to ensure team meetings effectively address key operational issues.
- Developing and reviewing annual plans for services in alignment with the Supported Housing department’s strategic objectives.
This position is part of the middle management team and involves direct management of two scheme managers, focusing on promoting a trauma-informed and psychologically sensitive approach to service delivery.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of developing formal relationships with other organisations, experience of developing operational procedures, experience of safeguarding adults and responding to safeguarding concerns and currently hold or willingness to study to NVQ Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent.
