Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for Receptionist & Facilities Assistant to join our Property & Facilities Management team, this post will be based in Centrepoint’s Manchester office in Oldham Street.
About us
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
Centrepoint Facilities, Building Safety Compliance and Health & Safety team are responsible for each offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham & Sunderland as well as supporting all departments in the organisation. This is a new role with two aspects Receptionist duties each morning and the afternoons spent supporting the facility for which training will be provided.

What you’ll be doing (examples)
Carry out all necessary receptionist duties on a daily basis from 09:00 – 13:00hrs daily Monday to Friday (specific duties and Kpi(s) will be defined during induction)to include:
- Entry and welcome (signing in and out)
- Protection of staff , assets and visitors
- Information and direction
- Waiting and meeting area.
Input and proactively manage all data to support the successful management of the reception and records appropriate to Facilities Management in the Manchester office and wider Northern region.
Processing Facilities and property compliance documentation effecting the Manchester and Northern area received, ensuring remedial works arising from compliance checks, maintenance and audits are escalated to Facilities or the Property Compliance Officer in London for scheduling, on arranged ensuring all relevant parties are informed, systems updated and documents are recorded correctly.
