Role: Challenge Events Manager
Contract: Full Time, 12 Months FTC
Salary: £43,000- £46,109 per annum

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a one-year fixed-term maternity cover Challenge Events Manager to join our Mass Participation and Events Team based in London.
About us
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
The Challenge Events Manager will be a key member of the Mass Participation & Events team where you will be responsible for the management of our third-party challenge events, with oversight of all aspects including marketing, logistics and stewardship. The post holder will have responsibility for generating growth in the programme as well as line-managing the Challenge Events Officer who supports the delivery of our challenge events.
It is an exciting time to join the team, with ambitious fundraising and recruitment targets for 24/25 and plans to develop a strategy to achieve income growth.
About you
- Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Able decision maker with a can do attitude.
- Creative and innovative, with an appetite to grow income
- Experience of developing and delivering successful multiple-stream marketing plans marketing plans
- Experience of managing charity events, and strong organisational skills
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and successfully delivering Centrepoint’s portfolio of third-party challenge events
- Leading the development and delivery of multi-stream marketing strategies to successfully recruit challenge event participants
- Researching opportunities to grow the programme, in order to increase income and participation
- Line-management of the Challenge Events Officer
- Working collaboratively with the Mass Participation and Events team to support one another to collectively reach the team target.
