Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client, a Christian housing, care, and homelessness charity, in the search for an interim Supported Housing Manager to lead their 19 bed supported housing service in Reigate.
This role provides a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager to lead a trauma-informed and person-centred specialist female supported housing service. By providing high quality leadership to a dedicated team, ensuring high quality service delivery, and efficient operational performance, the successful applicant can make an immediate and meaningful difference in an impactful organisation.
Due to the role requiring working with vulnerable women, we can only consider female applicants (this position is exempt under Part 1 of Schedule 9 of The Equality Act 2010 due to the genuine occupational requirement). Also due to the nature of the role and the need to start ASAP, the successful applicant will require an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service and a notice period of no more than 2 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the supported housing service.
- Provide leadership, supervision and development support to a team of support workers.
- Oversee referrals, assessments and resident admissions.
- Ensure residents receive personalised, strengths-based and trauma-informed support.
- Develop partnerships with external agencies, housing providers and support services.
- Monitor service performance, quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Manage budgets, income and expenditure within agreed parameters.
- Ensure safeguarding concerns, incidents and complaints are managed effectively.
- Maintain oversight of health and safety, property maintenance and service compliance.
- Encourage resident involvement and foster a positive, supportive community environment.
Key Requirements:
- Recent, relevant experience in a housing management role within a not-for-profit organisation, with an understanding of related support services, team leadership, and managing budgets.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborative and proactive approach, with the capability to work both independently and in a team.
