Senior Supported Housing Worker

Digartref Cyf is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Support Worker. If you are passionate about providing a high-quality supported housing services for young people aged 16 to 25, who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness, and you want to support them to make lasting positive changes in their lives, then we would like to hear from you.
The role of Senior Supported Housing Worker requires you to provide day to day support, supervision, and direction to a team of supported housing staff that support young people in a 24 hour staffed hostel, dispersed accommodation and floating support services.
In addition, you would be required to deliver an effective housing management service, draw up staff rotas to ensure 24-hour staff cover and be available to cover on-call on a rota basis outside of your contracted working week, for which an additional payment is made.
Ideally applicants would be expected to:
- Have previous experience of staff management, supported housing and delivering services to vulnerable young people
- Have the passion and desire to deliver a high-quality service
- Have a working knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety issues including risk assessments.
- Have excellent IT skills.
- Have excellent communication and people skills.
- Have a flexible approach to working, providing rota cover where and when needed
- Uphold the values and ethos of the service
- Be able to drive and have access to a car.
The successful candidate may be required to cover some rota shifts which may include weekends, evenings and waking nights when and where needed. Some shifts will require you to lone work.
