Night Security Concierge

About the Role:

We have ongoing job opportunies for a Night Security Concierge to join our team with our clients homeless hostel in Tunbridge Wells Kent. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Support:
Provide a welcoming and supportive presence to residents throughout the night.
Respond to resident needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
Monitor and challenge anti-social behaviour to maintain a safe and peaceful environment for all residents.
Assist residents with any immediate needs, such as accessing essential supplies.
Security and Safety:
Conduct regular security checks of the premises.
Monitor CCTV footage and respond to any incidents.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for all residents and staff.
Implement emergency procedures as required.
Light Cleaning Duties:
Maintain general cleanliness of communal areas and the office.
Assist with light cleaning tasks as required.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of nightly events and incidents.
Prepare daily reports for the day shift.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Experience working with vulnerable adults, preferably within a homeless or supported housing setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic IT skills.
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

First Aid and/or Mental Health First Aid training.
Conflict resolution training.
Experience of working with individuals with complex needs (e.g., substance misuse, mental health issues).
Valid SIA Badge.

Shift Pattern:

22:00 - 08:00
Shift work may include weekends and bank holidays.
