St Michael’s Hospice is looking for a Finance Manager to lead our day-to-day finance function and help ensure we have the strong financial information, systems and controls we need to support excellent Hospice care.Working closely with the Finance and Facilities Director, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the finance service. You will manage and support a small finance team, oversee month-end processes and management accounts, support budget holders, prepare for audit and help strengthen financial controls, reporting and processes.This is a hands-on and varied role, suited to someone who enjoys both the detail of finance and the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation. You will help managers understand their budgets, provide clear and practical financial advice, and contribute to improvements that support good decision-making and long-term sustainability.We are looking for someone who is part-qualified, fully qualified or qualified by experience in a recognised accountancy discipline. You will bring experience of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, audit preparation and team leadership, together with confidence in using financial systems and electronic databases to interrogate, interpret and present financial information clearly.
