They are now looking for an experienced fundraiser to help them broaden and grow their fundraising portfolio, develop new income opportunities and build lasting relationships with supporters.As Fundraising Manager, you will lead and develop fundraising across the charity, with particular responsibility for individual giving, community fundraising, legacy and in-memoriam giving, alongside developing other opportunities for voluntary income.You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You might be developing a fundraising plan one day, writing an appeal or funding application the next, and supporting a community fundraiser or building a new partnership after that. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation and with senior leadership to ensure fundraising supports their strategic priorities – Supporting People, Driving Research and Advancing Care – and generates sustainable income for their work.This is an exciting time to join the organisation and look ahead to the next stage of their development. You will be comfortable balancing a varied portfolio and moving between strategic planning and practical delivery.You will have experience of developing fundraising activity, balancing strong relationships with supporters and partners, and using data and performance measures to inform your work. Experience in individual giving and / or legacy fundraising is particularly relevant, alongside an understanding of community fundraising and other voluntary income streams.You will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, with the confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively across a small team.You will also bring empathy and sensitivity when working with supporters and families, particularly in relation to legacy and in-memoriam giving.You don’t need to have experience in every area of fundraising.
