ARK Resettlement Services is a charity and supported accommodation provider working with adults who are homeless, vulnerable, or involved with the criminal justice system. We provide accommodation, resettlement, rehabilitation, and community-based support to individuals on probation and those transitioning from prison back into the community.
Our aim is to support service users to rebuild their lives, sustain accommodation, reduce reoffending, improve wellbeing, and move towards independent living through person-centred support and multi-agency partnership working.
Summary
We are looking for a committed and motivated Resettlement Coach to join our growing team. This role involves supporting adults on probation, individuals released from prison, and vulnerable adults living in supported accommodation or within the community.
You will work closely with service users to help them address barriers relating to housing, offending behaviour, mental health, wellbeing, independent living, employment, training, and community reintegration.
The successful candidate will provide person-centred support, risk management, advocacy, and practical assistance while working in partnership with Probation Services, Local Authorities, housing providers, mental health teams, and other support agencies.
This is a rewarding role suited to someone passionate about rehabilitation, homelessness prevention, social inclusion, and supporting people to achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review support plans and risk assessments for service users on probation and individuals leaving prison.
- Support service users with accommodation sustainment, independent living, wellbeing, employment, training, and access to services.
- Carry out welfare checks, keywork sessions, and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Work closely with Probation, Local Authorities, housing providers, and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and support records using internal systems.
- Attend team meetings, supervision, and multi-agency meetings.
- Promote positive engagement, rehabilitation, and community reintegration.
Person SpecificationEssential
- Experience working with vulnerable adults, homelessness, probation, criminal justice, mental health, or social care.
- Experience managing caseloads, support plans, and risk assessments.
- Good communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
Desirable
- Experience supporting individuals under Probation supervision.
- Knowledge of housing, welfare benefits, and rehabilitation services.
- Understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
- Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
