Do you have the leadership skills to support your team to achieve great outcomes for clients?
This is an exciting opportunity to lead two supported accommodation services in Brighton and Hove. The teams provide support with life skills, mental health, wellbeing and tenancy sustainment to people who have identified mental health needs and/or who have experienced homelessness.
Southdown’s Rapid Rehousing Service provides low level support to people with experience of rough sleeping or homelessness. The project works alongside Brighton & Hove City Council’s Temporary Accommodation team who provide the accommodation.
Southdown Moves provides low level supported accommodation to clients on Brighton and Hove’s mental health pathway with accommodation provided by Southdown.
Both projects support people to recover and take steps towards greater independence.
We are looking for a dynamic, creative Team Manager with the leadership skills and experience to continue to promote and embed trauma-informed working, positive team dynamics and achieve measurable and sustainable outcomes for our clients.
We welcome applications from people with experience in roles such as Supported Accommodation Team Manager, Mental Health Accommodation Manager, or anyone with the right values, leadership experience and transferable skills. If you bring a supportive leadership style and commitment to housing security, we will provide the training to help you succeed in the role.

Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceWhat you’ll need for the role:
- Experience managing or supervising a frontline support team
- A values-led approach to leadership, staff wellbeing and service quality
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confidence working with external partners, stakeholders and commissioners
- A commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practice
- An enhanced DBS check (paid for by Southdown)
What would be nice:
- Knowledge of housing, homelessness prevention or tenancy sustainment
- Experience managing risk, safeguarding or crisis situations
- Familiarity with contract delivery or working to KPIs
