About the Role
As a Training and Practice Development Officer at Hillcrest Futures, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality learning experiences that empower our Hillcrest Futures workforce to provide exceptional care and support. This is an exciting opportunity to influence practice development across the organisation, ensuring our teams have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to meet the diverse needs of the people we support at Hillcrest.
This role will involve working within the Hillcrest Organisational Development Team, alongside other Training and Practice Development Officers to deliver mandatory training and to design, develop and deliver best practice resources to support Hillcrest Futures Services and Teams in maintaining a skilled, confident workforce capable of delivering excellent care and support services.
About You
This position is ideal for someone enthusiastic about learning and development, with a strong understanding of social care practice and a commitment to driving positive change.
You’ll bring creativity and confidence to designing and delivering engaging training that supports best practice across our services.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a management or Leadership role within a social care setting
- Experience in developing and delivering training within a social care or similar setting.
- A sound knowledge of sector standards, regulatory requirements, and best practice approaches.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners and the ability to adapt to different audiences to maximise positive training outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A collaborative approach, working closely with colleagues to create innovative learning solutions.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and supporting others to achieve their potential.
- Hold a relevant qualification to a minimum of level 8 of the Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework (SCQF) or have a willingness to achieve this
