The difference you will make as a Foreperson
We’re now looking for a Foreperson to join our friendly team in Carlisle to provide direction and support to our frontline colleagues and office team by helping to address and resolve issues. You will quickly develop and maintain a sound knowledge of the area, our frontline colleagues, customers and properties.
You’ll play a crucial role in reviewing work output and assessing the technical standard of completed works, ensuring that works meet the expectations of both Evolve and our customers. You will identify and escalate below standard work or quality and escalate this to your supervisor for further advice or action to be taken.
You will support and promote technical innovation and continuous improvement ensuring Evolve fully complies with all requirements set out in company policies and procedures.
You will monitor and support development of your team to improve the service we deliver to the Riverside customers and have a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
This role will include working with a team as well as lone working to meet our desired deadlines.
Apply your knowledge, skills, and training to complete the repairs assigned to you in a safe, efficient manner. Taking care that they are of high quality, comply with technical specifications and provide a long-lasting solution.
About you
We are looking for someone with
- Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in an associated building trade.
- A full UK driving licence held for at least 1 year.
- Have commercial driving experience.
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of customer care.
- Respiratory Protective Equipment will be provided for this role, so you must be clean shaven on your first day. If there are circumstances where it is not appropriate for an employee to be clean shaven (e.g., medical conditions or religious grounds), the company will ensure that adjustments are in place to accommodate protected characteristics.
- Experience of working as a Foreperson
- Ideally, you will have previously worked in a social housing environment.
- Experience working with Damp & Mould.
- Have a NVQ Level 3 in an associated building trade.
- The Group has offices across the UK and on this basis, there may be the requirement to travel to other locations to effectively perform this role, albeit that regular support will be required to teams in the Cumbria Region.
- The role will be exposed to sensitive information; therefore, the role holder is expected to maintain levels of confidentiality at all times.
- In order to fulfil the requirements of this role, you will be required to work flexibly during the hours of operation.
