Company Overview
St Anne’s Hostel was founded in 1976 by Father Pascal Dillion, the priest of St Anne’s parish, and was initially a night shelter for 27 homeless men. What began as a short- term service run by a small group of nuns, the priest and volunteers, many years later, the charity has grown into a long-standing hostel that still provides direct- access accommodation. The organisation achieved charity status in January 1994, a registered Housing Association in 1999 and became part of a group structure with Spring Housing in April 2024. Joining the group structure with Spring Housing has been an exciting time and has brought significate benefits to both the charity and our residents. It has strengthened our resources, improved access to shared expertise and created opportunities for collaboration across the services. Here at St Anne’s, we operate a 24/7 direct-access exempt accommodation service, supporting Homeless men aged 25 and above across Birmingham. The Charity works in partnership with local statutory services and delivers a comprehensive range of person-centred interventions that enable homeless men to access, retain and successfully sustain long-term accommodation. We currently employ 20 staff members who work across 2 sites: a 33-bed direct access Hostel, providing half board accommodation, which includes 8 dedicated rooms for men and their dogs and Parkview Supported Housing project, which comprises 18 self-contained apartments designed to promote independent living.
Our staff team is central to everything we do, whose dedication underpins the quality of services delivered at St Anne’s; by consistently upholding our group organisational values, they contribute to a positive environment for both staff and the residents we accommodate.
we encourage feedback to ensure we keep improving both the workplace and the support we offer to our residents.
