Housing Inclusion Service - Moving on Support Team (MOST)
We have 1 Fixed Term post (covering maternity) within the Moving on Support Team
The Moving on Support Team work with people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. Most of our clients are coming out of prison or have been recently involved within the criminal justice system. The service is responsible for preventing homelessness and providing housing advice to people around their housing options. The housing inclusion officers in the team are responsible for carrying out the statutory homelessness assessment function for people who are either referred to or approach us directly. There is some work for the housing inclusion officers with a range of different people who are homeless for a variety of reasons in addition to the main client group.
The successful candidates would have a good knowledge of the law as it relates to homeless people as well the skills to support a client group who face multiple barriers. This is an incredibly busy team where current performance is of a high standard.
