Role: Support Worker - Young Adults
Location: Penrith, Cumbria
Contract: Temporary, flexible hours
Pay: £13.62ph PAYE
We at Edenvale Recruitment are looking for empathetic and organised support workers to join our team across Cumbria. We are working with a client who need ad-hoc support across their services that support young adults in self-contained accommodation.
This role is to support clients on their journey to independent living, there is no moving and handling or personal care experience needed
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Support young adults who are living in their own flats after leaving the care system, or moving out of their family home.
- Assisting with benefits applications where necessary.
- Creating productive working relationships with clients, whilst upholding professional boundaries.
- General administration.
- Help clients in your care to become independent and learn vital life skills.
We are looking for support workers with:
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults/ children.
- Strong IT literacy.
- Enhanced DBS for Adults and Children, or be willing to undergo one.
- An understating of substance misuse.
- The ability to process benefits applications.
