Night Security Concierge – Homeless Hostel (Yate & Bristol)
Location: Yate & Bristol, UK
Hours: Rotated shifts including days, nights and weekends
Pay: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour
Job Description
We are recruiting a Night Security Concierge to support our Homeless Hostel services across Yate and Bristol. We are looking for reliable, professional individuals with experience in security, concierge, or night support roles. As a night security concierge, you will ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of residents during night shifts while representing our organisation with professionalism and empathy. This night security concierge position is ideal for someone confident working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and professional presence to residents.
- Monitor CCTV, respond to alarms and maintain a secure environment.
- Prevent security breaches and manage unauthorised access.
- Record and manage incidents, ensuring accurate incident logging.
- Respond calmly to challenging situations using de-escalation techniques.
- Complete the Daily Occurrence Log to a high standard.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy and positive engagement with residents.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism expected from a night security concierge across all shifts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Support, Health & Social Care (preferred).
- Enhanced DBS (or SIA Licence as alternative).
- 1–2 years’ experience in a similar night security concierge or concierge/security role.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
