360 Services requires candidates with a Care or Healthcare Assistant background to work night shifts at a homeless persons Night Shelter in Stoke.
Are you a caring, empathetic individual looking for a rewarding role supporting and safeguarding vulnerable adults. We are looking for people who have a passion for helping others to help make a difference to the lives of residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting clients living in Supported Accommodation and Night Shelters.
There will be no need to provide personal care to individuals in this role.
Based in a Homeless Hostel in Stoke, the role will involve you working alongside a team of Support staff working with homeless and vulnerable adults.
You will be responsible for supporting the Safeguarding of the residents through conducting Health and Security checks on the building, Welfare checks on residents and ensuring that access to the building is restricted to approved visitors only.
You will be required to identify any safeguarding or security concerns that you witness and document all concerns and incidents clearly and accurately. Including investigating alarm activations.
You will also be responsible for maintaining visitor logs, distributing food donations, light cleaning duties and supporting senior support staff as and where required.
Must Have:
- At least one year of professional Support Worker Experience and working with Vulnerable Adults or at least 3 years of providing care and or support Worker services within another social care setting.
- Must Have a Full UK Driving License
- A working knowledge and understanding of being a support worker and how to support people in achieving and maintaining independence.
