Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Psychotherapist to join our Therapeutic Service based team based in Manchester.

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
About the Role
Are you a qualified Psychotherapist passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people experiencing homelessness? We’re looking for a compassionate and driven professional to join our Health and Wellbeing team, delivering vital mental health support across a designated patch of services.
In this rewarding role, you will coordinate and deliver one-to-one counselling interventions and psychoeducational groups to support young people in improving their mental health. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create a tailored, person-centred health offer, ensuring young people receive the right support at the right time. This is a highly collaborative role where your ability to engage, communicate, and build trust with young people will be key.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised qualification in psychotherapy or counselling
(e.g., BACP, UKCP, or BPS accredited)
- Experience of working therapeutically with young people
- Excellent written and organisational skills
- The ability to maintain clear, outcome-focused records
- Confidence in using data management systems and evidence-based practices
