The Choir with No Name runs choirs with people affected by homelessness and marginalisation across the UK. Each week we have a cuppa and a chat, belt out pop and rock tunes for 1.5 hours, and share a hot meal, cooked by us.
The Choir with No Name is amazing because of the contributions from all our community members. Whether it’s cooking a meal, singing with the choir, or creating a supportive and joyful space for people with experience of homelessness, everyone plays a part in offering the consistency and stability which helps people thrive.
We aim to create a community that offers:
Voluntary roles are unpaid and supplement the work of paid staff. Out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed, and training provided.
Each person in a community role can choose which tasks they want to do. All we ask is that you tell us the time and skills you can offer, and we’ll tailor your role to you. We ask for a time commitment of at least 2 Mondays per month from 6pm to 10pm. You’ll have a monthly rota, so you know what role you’re doing each week. There will also be gigs (the best part!) where we need extra support.
